Frequently asked questions

Is the RSS bot free?

Yes. Free accounts can follow RSS and Atom feeds at no cost. Paid plans increase limits and add features like filters, message templating, and role mentions.

What is the difference between RSS and Atom?

RSS and Atom are both XML-based syndication formats that serve the same purpose. Atom is the newer standard with stricter formatting. Readybot supports both interchangeably, so you don't need to worry about which one a site uses.

How do I find a website's RSS feed?

Look for the RSS icon on the site, or try appending /feed, /rss or /atom.xml to the domain. You can also paste the website URL into Readybot and it will discover any linked feeds automatically. Read more about finding RSS feeds to use.

How quickly are new entries delivered to Discord?

New entries typically arrive within minutes of being published. Free accounts check every 10 minutes by default; paid plans check faster - down to 5 minutes, or every minute on the Premium Membership plan.

Can I filter which entries are sent to Discord?

Yes. With a paid plan, you can set up feed filters to only forward entries matching specific keywords in the title, author, or description.

Can I add multiple RSS feeds?

Yes. You can add multiple feeds and route them to different Discord channels by configuring channels feed by feed, or creating separate Feed Bots.
